Reflection on the overall operating costs in comparison of pumps with different pressure

Dear customers,

we have prepared a consideration on the total costs referring to operation of HP pumps with different pressure levels. We also try to introduce you to what usually isn´t talked about when offered the pump with pressure of 6000 bar.

• Pump input power. The comparison is demonstrated on the amount of water, but no-one says that for the same amount of water you also need a double input, ie. double price of energy.
• Lifetime of parts. Please note that the lifetime of the individual parts is significantly lower, therefore the amount of service calls (and also interruption of machine work) is also several times higher.
• Price of spare parts. Prices of components are also higher, and as their durability is lowe, the operating costs are several times higher than with the pump pressure of 4130 bars.
• HP pump price. The purchase price is higher by ten percent compared to the price of 4130 bars pump.
• Service life of mixing tubes. The lifetime of mixing tubes is also lower, which increases the operaitonal costs and consequently affects the accuracy of  production.
